The business of problem solving

Being a senior design student, we spend our whole year working on a senior thesis. The topic was given to us this year, and that topic is food.

Today, a group of us, from Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, and Graphic Design, presented on our topics to the group.

These seniors, still students, had some powerful projects tackling big problems in modern agriculture, factory farming, pesticides and growth hormones in food, fish farming, food advertising to children, and many more.

I could go on, but mostly I want to say that during the presentations, I felt hope. Hope for this generation of young people. We don't know all the answers, but we can solve problems, one step at a time. And I'm pretty sure this world of ours could use some solutions right about now.

  1. And one of the brightest among this generation: you. Don't even try to deny it. You're motivation and creativity are ever-inspiring. Seriously.
